Linogravure 2

Voici une oeuvre simple de l'un des coqs de mon voisin Daniel à Notre-Dame-du-Laus. J'ai appris par la suite que je n'avais pas besoin de la ligne noire qui entourant certaines parties de l'oiseau. 

Here is a simple work of art that represents one  of my neighbour Daniel's roosters at Notre-Dame-du-Laus. I later learned that I didn't need the black line around certain parts of the bird. 

Lors de ce travail, je voulais explorer la répétition de motifs et rendre mon oeuvre plus intéressante en ajoutant un arrière plan à deux couleurs. 

In this work I wanted to explore the repetition of patterns and make my work more interesting by adding a two colour background. 

Sur la rue Main à Ottawa, un nouveau bar restaurant est ouvert au printemps 2022. Les gens de mon quartier du Vieil Ottawa-Est étaient très excités! Le nom du restaurant est Vespa Wine Bar. La Vespa à l'intérieur me rappelait de notre voyage à Rome,. J'ai alors décidé d'offrir au propriétaire une linogravure pour l'inauguration de son restaurant. 

On Main Street in Ottawa, a new bar and restaurant is opening in the spring of 2022. People in my neighbourhood of Old Ottawa East were very excited! The name of the restaurant is Vespa Wine Bar. The Vespa inside reminded me of our trip to Rome. I decided to offer the owner a linocut for the opening of his restaurant.
